CorrEx — Practical Calculator

Volume to Weight Ratio Calculator

Quick conversion of a Base / Curing Agent mixing ratio from volume to weight, using the densities of both components.

This calculator converts a mixing ratio by volume into a mixing ratio by weight when the base and curing agent do not have the same density.

It is intended for small batch preparation, field work, applicators, coating inspectors and quality personnel who need to weigh a Base / Curing Agent mix accurately.

Volume A:B → Weight A:B

Weight ratio: —

Quantities to weigh

Base A
Base A volume: —
Curing agent B
Curing Agent B volume: —
Parameter Calculated value
Total A+B weight
Weight ratio A:B
Weight ratio for 100 g of Base A
Formula Weight = component volume × density
The total entered volume is split according to the A:B volume ratio. Each partial volume is then converted into weight using the corresponding density. No thinner is included in this calculation.
Check the entered values: ratios and densities must be greater than 0.

Note: this calculator is a practical aid only. Applicable requirements remain those of the product data sheet, project specifications, approved procedures and contractual documents.

Important: the manufacturer’s mixing ratio must be followed strictly. Mixing a complete new kit remains the safest way to ensure the correct Base / Curing Agent ratio. Previously opened containers may have undergone partial evaporation of solvents or other volatile components, which can make a partial mix less reliable. If a kit is split, very careful measuring is required.
